* Workshop 2:30 p.m. * Evensong 6:00 p.m. *
St Mary’s Church, Harrow on the Hill HA1 3HL A wonderful opportunity to explore the riches of plainchant, led by RSCM Deputy Director, Rosemary Field. All are welcome from complete novices to experienced chant singers – all ages and all voices.

Culminating in the singing of Evensong, the afternoon workshop will explore plainchant in a variety of styles, including the hymn Before the ending of the day combined with the Tallis Respond Te lucis ante terminum. The anthem will be Perspice Christicola from the Reading manuscript (c.1260).

Light refreshments will available during the workshop. Participants may bring their own choir robes for the service, or otherwise dress suitably for church. There is no charge to take part, though donations towards expenses would be appreciated.

Please contact Tim Smith (Director of Music at St Mary’s) by Sunday 2nd July – by email to or phone 07749 811728 – to help us know how many people to expect.
