Objectives and Activities
• Our primary objective is the promotion of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to the doctrines and practices of the Church of England. We aim to demonstrate Christ’s love by showing our concern for our parishioners and those in the wider community, in a variety of ways.
• St Mary’s PCC has the specific responsibility of co-operating with the incumbent in promoting, within the ecclesiastical parish, the whole mission of the Church; liturgical, spiritual, educational, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical.
• Since St Mary’s is the Borough Church of Harrow, the aspects mentioned above are extended beyond the parish boundary.
• The PCC is also responsible for the maintenance of a Grade 1 listed building and churchyard to a standard which provides a fitting ambience of reverence.

 

Our Schedule of Sunday Services is:
8.00 a.m. Eucharist – BCP
9.30 a.m. Matins (sung on the Fifth Sunday)
10.30 a.m. Sung Eucharist – usually Common Worship (Family Service on the Fourth Sunday)
6.00 p.m. Evening Service (Choral Evensong on the Third Sunday; Taize Prayer on the Fifth Sunday)

We have some regular events:
Working Party in Church Garden      First Saturday at 10.00 am
Junior Church                                        First and Third Sundays at 10.30 am
Bellringers’ Practice                              Every Monday at 8.00 pm in the Bell Tower
Handbell Ringers’ Practice                  Every Tuesday at 7.45pm in Church Room
(Not January or August)                
Choir Practice                                          Every Thursday from 6.30—7.30pm
